A snap ring (retaining ring) is an element used to secure machine components (bearings, sleeves, discs, gears) against axial movement on shafts, axles or inside bores. Their dimensions are standardized and can be found in PN-81/M-5111 (metric) as well as DIN 471 (outer) and DIN 472 (inner) standards.
