Self-adjusting ball bearings
The raceway of a self-adjusting ball bearing outer ring creates a spherical surface concentric with the bearing. The inner ring has two raceways. The balls, basket and the inner ring can move, so that compensate for the misalignment with the outer rings. Thus the bearing is self-adjusting and is able to compensate for the unevenness of the shaft/housing, bearing fit faults or other causes of the misalignment. Self-adjusting ball bearings have a restrained axial load capacity.
